Foreign Language
The Foreign Language department embraces that part of our school's mission statement that calls us to appreciate diverse cultures and to promote compassion and respect towards others. To this end, students are required to spend a minimum of two years studying a foreign language, currently Spanish is the course offered. Classes are conducted in the language being studied and require students to engage in conversations, exchange information, express feelings, opinions and concepts using the language. Additionally, students participate in the learning process by researching and writing papers on a variety of topics pertaining to culture, history, music, and current events.
