Geometry
During the first semester of Geometry students learn about geometric art, basic geometric terms (such as point, line, and plane), reasoning and proof, and construction and tools of geometry. The text, Discovering Geometry, an Investigative Approach developed by Key Curriculum Press, leads students to develop an understanding of geometry through daily investigations. Students also use the Geometer's Sketchpad, a computer software program, to supplement work from the text.

During the second semester students learn about principles of triangles, polygons, and circles, transformations and tessellations, area and volume, and the Pythagorean theorem. Students are assessed through nightly homework assignments and weekly quizzes, in addition to tests and projects for each chapter covered in the book.
