The end of the school year is fast approaching and there is a lot of excitement around the school. Seniors have made their final decisions for the fall and juniors are preparing to become next year's senior class. The juniors took their first SAT on May 3rd and they are in the process of developing their college list. It is my goal that, by the end of the school year, all juniors will have a short list of colleges they will apply to and a second list of colleges that they will research further over the summer. Although it is natural for our seniors to focus on summer vacation and graduation, they must work hard to maintain their good academic standing and file college paperwork such as housing applications and final transcripts. With seniors closing the college application process and juniors just beginning to look at college applications, this is an exciting time to be the college counselor.
