Photography is approached as an art form. Students are encouraged to develop a personal creative signature. Beginning Photography students are introduced to the creative options available in 35mm format. Students are schooled in the fundamentals of camera-work, the basics of B & W film development and printmaking technique. Close attention is paid to proper darkroom procedures, safety, gudelines and etiquette. Class photo exhibitions are staged throughout the year to expose students to the rigors of professional standards, deadlines and public critique.
